The FooLuminati invite fellow fools from all and sundry to a foolibration and magic rite on the night of April 1. We will be foolibrating April Fool's Day by finding, embracing and playing with our inner fools. In our infinite wisdom, we shall raise the power of the Dance Of The Dunce and see what SHe has to say to us and carry this magical fool energy with us into the new year.

The fool can be found when we lower our defences and walk out of our fortified strongholdings to be our vulnerable human selves. It is a place that seems completely powerless: on the slow-moving underbellies of Kings and Queens, surrounded by labels, adverts and polarities which can no longer be relied on for help. In that place before definition, before things end, where

everything always begins, the fool finds power in infinite possibility!

Think of any trickster and fool gods you may wish to invoke and bring everything you know and everything you don't. That should do it. Remember: fools and clowns say YES! Fools play to play, not to win (coz then the game ends and that's no fun at all). Prepare for a most magical and foolish night.

Just to let you know that the FooLuminati have decided to ask for permission for this (just this - not any of the other fool ritual/protests that day). The reasons for seeking permission for this are:

1. Many who are not usually involved in political activism will be coming and we want it to be open to as many different people as possible. Also - it would be possibly quite traumatic to people to be arrested in the middle of a ritual!

2. There is a huge taking the piss value in asking permission from the state to cast subversive spells at the state. It's a bit cheeky innit!

3. Magically and energetically there is great power for change in edges. Playing/fooling across the line of inside/outside the law.

The SOCPA law (which *all* fools challenge) states that the commissioner of police is obliged by law to let people have their actions if (and only if) they seek permission.
